We want to show our empty nester peers that there is soooo much more to life after the kids fly the coup.
With a Helmet… Of Course!
Many years ago in a land far far away, I (Matt) walked into a bar looking for a beer and a babe… and there she (Linda) was. She was setting up a karaoke show looking for victims (singers) to start the show. Her eyes met mine, I was suckered in to sing a duet with her and 8 weeks later, we were married.
33 years and 2 grown children later, we have been traveling full time since 2019. May of 2019 to be exact, when we sold EVERYTHING we owned that wouldn’t fit into our 2013 Chevy Sonic and began our journey house and pet sitting our way around the country. We drove our way around the country (literally) starting up the east coast, along the northern states, down the west coast and along the southern states back to the east coast. We hit 27 states while on this journey, which included being “stuck” in Las Vegas during covid for a little while.
In 2022, we decided to trade our “life on the road” for “life on the water”, so we purchased a 1980 44′ classic motor yacht in Madeira Beach, FL to fix up and “sail the seven seas”. Well… we made it from Madeira Beach to the Florida Keys. (felt like the seven seas to me)
